Five fun ways to show your alumni pride this weekend

Fall Alumni Weekend 2018 is packed with great events for amateur athletes, theater lovers, high rollers and more.

Calling all Roadrunners! It is time to stretch your legs, lace up your sneakers and literally run your own road at the 2^nd Annual Roadrunners 5K.

Share your Roadrunner pride with Metropolitan State University of Denver alumni and the men’s and women’s cross-country team at Washington Park over Fall Alumni Weekend on Saturday. Race time is 10 a.m., and runners can view the route map by visiting the MSU Denver Alumni website.

MSU Denver President Janine Davidson, Ph.D., and members of the MSU Denver men’s and women’s cross-country teams will run along with participants as well, and a half-mile fun run is planned for kids age 12 and younger. All proceeds will benefit the men’s and women’s cross-country programs.

Other Fall Alumni Weekend events include Roadrunner Casino Night and an alumni softball game Friday, and alumni can sit back and enjoy A Night at the Theatre on Saturday for a special performance of “The Drowsy Chaperone.” The fun continues Sunday when MSU Denver men’s soccer takes on CSU Pueblo at the Regency Athletic Center.
