Author Anthony Ray Hinton spent 30 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. While there are few who can relate to this experience, everyone can be inspired by Hinton’s capacity for compassion, forgiveness and optimism.
All faculty, staff and students are invited attend to hear Hinton discuss his astonishing and inspiring account of his wrongful conviction when he visits Metropolitan State University of Denver tomorrow as part of the 1 Book/1 Project/2 Transform series.
The event will be held in the Tivoli Turnhalle, and doors will open at 10:30 a.m. The presentation starts at 11 a.m. followed by Q&A at noon and a book signing at 12:30 p.m.
Check out the Reading and Learning Guide developed by Andrea R. Borrego, Ph.D., and Ofelia Schepers, Ph.D., to add another dynamic to Hinton’s visit.
