Enjoy Inauguration week panels via livestream

Three panel discussions tackle higher education’s role in preparing the students — and security systems — of tomorrow.

What is the future of higher education, how do universities prepare graduates to dive into the workforce, and how can technology users — and higher-education institutions — adapt to meet ever-evolving cybersecurity challenges? These questions are the focus of three panel discussions taking place during the Inauguration celebration Sept. 4-7 honoring President Janine Davidson, Ph.D.

The Future of Higher Education, Developing a Talented and Diverse Local Workforce, and Securing the Future panels each bring important and timely conversations to the Metropolitan State University of Denver campus. They also provide a venue for MSU Denver leaders to engage in meaningful dialogue and idea-sharing with university colleagues and industry professionals.

Panels will include local leaders such as University of Denver Chancellor Rebecca Chopp, Ph.D.; Dorothy A. Horrell, Ph.D., chancellor of the University of Colorado Denver; Mark S. Yoss, production principal at Lockheed Martin Space; and Lt. Gen. Robert E. Schmidle Jr., USMC ret., Ph.D., advisor on cyber capabilities and conflict studies at Arizona State University.

MSU Denver faculty and staff are encouraged to participate in the panel discussions via livestream, so don’t forget to mark your calendar to be a part of these great events. 

Developing a Talented and Diverse Local Workforce
