Faculty and staff get 50 percent off seats at the Inauguration Soirée, the University’s third annual fundraising gala.

Inauguration week is a little more than a month away. Have you gotten your tickets for the Investiture ceremony and Inauguration Soirée on Sept. 7?

Faculty and staff members receive a 50 percent discount on tickets for the Soirée, the University’s third annual fundraising gala, bringing the cost to $125 for a seat, rather than the standard $250. Proceeds will support students through the University’s latest initiative, the Classroom to Career Hub.

The Investiture ceremony, which is the formal installation of Janine Davidson, Ph.D., as president, is open to the entire community and free to attend, though attendees should register in advance. At the event, Davidson will share reflections on her first year with Metropolitan State University of Denver and expand on her vision for the University. The Investiture ceremony will take the place of the usual Welcome Home event that happens at the start of every fall semester. 

Inauguration week will also feature a campus celebration for faculty and staff Sept. 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in 9^th Street Park. There will be food, music and games to ring in the new semester.
