Summer enrollment update

Where we are with students who have registered for classes – and how you can help the term’s promotion.

April 16, 2018

Rowdy The Road Runner on a ThroneMore than 1,100 full-time-equivalent students (state-funded) have registered for summer classes at Metropolitan State University of Denver this year.

The total of 1,158 is up from 1,141, a 1.5 percent increase, from this point last year. However, the total head count is down from 5,674 to 5,558 (2 percent).

As summer is an integral part of the MSU Denver enrollment plan, we need your help in getting students to sign up for classes.

Download your own 2018 summer registration fillable flyer or stop by Marketing and Communications in SSB 430 to pick up physical posters.

Why should students take summer classes? It’s a great time for them to:

  • Catch up on credits.
  • Speed up their graduation date.
  • Snag those courses that fill fast.
  • Take cool courses such as Vampire Films (ENG 2810), Cinema Genre: Science Fiction (ENG 375E) and The Graphic Novel (ENG 411J), Gender and Society (GWS 3350/SOC 3430), Public Speaking (CAS 1010) and Human Biology for Non-Majors (BIO 1000)

Don’t forget about late-starting and Maymester classes like Conventions and Tradeshows (EVT 3200-001), too.

And now, if students are Pell-eligible, they can qualify for an additional grant if they are taking six or more credits, thanks to year-round Pell.
