Join us for Open House: The Experience

Our largest recruitment event has gotten an overhaul – and you’re invited to be a part of it.

The Office of Admissions will reveal the new and improved biannual Open House on April 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Interacting with faculty and staff at events like this is important to students and can make or break their decision to come here,” said Vaughn Toland, executive director of admissions and outreach. “That’s why it’s so important to have (your) participation in these types of events.”

Some of the changes from past iterations include:

• New look: Make sure to check out the updated signage and decor that will be used for tables and rooms in the Student Success Building.
• New agenda: Instead of having everything happen all at once, Open House will be divided into three time slots. Check out the details here.
• New sign-up for participating staff and faculty: This has already proved to be a success.

“We want to keep things exciting and relevant for students while also having staff and faculty engaged in a strategic way,” said Garrett Spradlin, coordinator of events and recruitment communications.

This is Spradlin’s first go at fully organizing the Open House, but he’s no stranger to event planning, having worked on large events with Boeing, Ameristar Casino and other universities.

For those who have already signed up to support Metropolitan State University of Denver’s largest recruitment event, keep an eye out for an email with additional details on checking in at the event this week.
