The Brain Train

Inside the brain trainKnowledge takes people places – and the Brain Train takes them right to MSU Denver.

The brainchild of the marketing and communications team, the new advertising campaign consists of an exterior train wrap; on the inside of cars, riders are greeted with several multiple-choice questions to test their knowledge on such topics as music and aerospace. Answers can be found by visiting a specialized webpage that links visitors to the more than 200 academic programs available for study.

The University worked with Denver-based Salvage Advertising to develop the campaign.

MSU Denver had never done a train wrap before, so the new strategy is meant to create a visual and interactive experience for the University’s brand, said Julie Lucas, senior director of integrated marketing and communication.

“We wanted to demonstrate how we’re elevating our students, and do it in a fun way,” she said. “What better way to engage light rail riders than with educational trivia that ties back to our academic programs?”

It’s just another reason why people choo-choo-choose MSU Denver.
