Diane Guerrero on campus April 4
Visit is part of the 1 Book/1 Project/2 Transform program featuring her book “In the Country We Love.”
March 21, 2018
Author and actress Diane Guerrero, known for her roles in “Orange is the New Black” and “Jane the Virgin,” will be on campus April 4. Her book “In the Country We Love” is the reading selection for MSU Denver’s 1 Book/1 Project/2 Transform (1B/1P/2T) program. Check out her personalized video message to the campus community here.
1B/1P/2T is a recurring series that brings together Metropolitan State University of Denver students, staff and faculty around a shared book and acts of service related to the book’s theme. The idea behind the program is that we can all be transformed — and can, perhaps, transform others — by what we read and how we participate in our community.
“In the Country We Love” is a moving, heartbreaking story of one woman’s extraordinary resilience in the face of the nightmarish struggles of undocumented residents in this country.
Guerrero will speak at 11 a.m. in the Tivoli Turnhalle. The visit was rescheduled from an October cancellation that resulted from filming conflicts.
