University hires new ombuds

Barbara Beatty to start April 2.

MSU Denver has a new ombuds.

Barbara Beatty was selected to serve as MSU Denver’s new ombuds in early February and will start April 2.

“We’re excited about hiring Barbara,” said Myron Anderson, associate to the president for diversity and hiring authority. “She brings substantial experience as a mediator and has an extensive conflict resolution background. She also has a proven experience as a University ombuds.”

Previously, Beatty served as University Ombuds for the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho. To review Beatty’s CV, click here.

Ombuds services between now and April 2 will continue to be covered by Michael Kilpatrick, who’s served as interim ombuds during the search.
