MSU Denver’s Office of International Studies is continuing to work to strengthen a partnership with Aksum University in Ethiopia.
Professor Ali Thobhani is the executive director of the MSU Denver Office of International Studies. He says during the summer of 2012, a group of 15 MSU Denver students went to Aksum University for a two-month study abroad course under a grant from the U.S. State Department. Currently, any MSU Denver student who is interested in studying there can go. It would require at least a semester of planning and working with the Office of International Studies.
Thobhani says the office is considering a Fulbright-Hays grant project in collaboration with Aksum University for the summer of 2019.
He pulled together photos and added commentary about efforts behind the partnership.
Aksum University is located in the historic city of Aksum, Ethiopia. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs and has an enrollment of about 12,000 students from all across the country.
