AACSB logoMSU Denver’s College of Business received the International Trade and Business Award for “outstanding leadership for economic empowerment and justice” Friday from the Chamber of the Americas at an event celebrating the chamber’s 25th anniversary.

The chamber’s mission is “to build and cultivate strong international relationships among member and nonmember individuals and organizations in order to facilitate global trade and investment that strengthen economies and foster a spirit of harmony, and social and economic justice, creating a society for the greater good for all humanity.”

Dean Ann Murphy noted the many accomplishments of the College’s faculty that resulted in the recognition. Among these activities was the College of Business’ successful drive for accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business — a mark of excellence achieved by less than five percent of business programs in the world.

The College of Business received the accreditation in 2016.
