Applied Learning CenterIf you have worked with students, faculty or community agencies that have shown exceptional dedication to experiential learning, you can honor them for their work by nominating them for the Applied Learning Center awards.

Programs such as service learning, undergraduate research, internships and community-based leadership are a valuable part of preparing students for leadership in their communities and careers. But these activities don’t happen without dedication from students, faculty and community agencies. An award with a $100 gift card is a small way in which MSU Denver can acknowledge the effort it takes to make these programs successful.

More details about each award and nomination instructions can be found on the Applied Learning Center website.

Faculty and Staff Award for Exceptional Achievement in Community Engagement ? An MSU Denver faculty or staff member will be honored for providing campus leadership that encourages the acquisition of knowledge while addressing community needs.

Community Partner Award ? A community agency will be honored for notable contributions to and/or participation in service-learning courses, service projects, internship programs or community-based research.

Student Award for Exceptional Achievement in Community Engagement ? A student or student group will be honored for contributions to the community in service learning, service projects, internships and/or research.

Undergraduate Research Leadership Award ? An MSU Denver faculty member will be honored for promoting undergraduate research through research and leadership activities.

The nomination deadline is Oct. 16. Awardees will be recognized at the Applied Learning Center Awards Banquet on Nov. 9.
