Encourage students to take the Student Experience Survey

The information from this survey will be used for strategic planning, benchmarking, program development and identifying areas for improvement.

October 4, 2017

President Janine Davidson, Ph.D.Dear Colleagues,

A healthy and welcoming climate is important at MSU Denver. In 2010, MSU Denver conducted its first Campus Climate Survey in many years. It was a groundbreaking move for the University as it allowed us to understand some of the things we were doing well and the things we need to work on to improve our organization.

This fall 2017, MSU Denver is conducting a student-focused survey titled the "Student Experience Survey." The survey will be launched October 2, 2017 and will remain active until October 30, 2017.

The purpose of this survey is to capture student perceptions regarding the campus climate and institutional practices as experienced with faculty, staff and peers. Through demographic measures, student perceptions, and the effects of their experiences can be disaggregated by different social identities, including race, gender, sexual orientation and socioeconomic status. The information from this survey will be used for strategic planning, benchmarking, program development and identifying areas for improvement.

After completing the survey, participants may elect to enter to WIN a laptop or an Auraria Campus Parking Permit for free parking for the Spring Semester 2018. Additionally, weekly drawings will randomly identify $5 Dazbog gift card winners in appreciation for their time.

Please encourage your students to watch their emails and participate in this very important survey. Visit the Campus Climate website more information about the survey.

For more questions about the survey or the process please contact the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Dr. Myron Anderson, Associate to the President for Diversity or Jeremy VanHooser, Diversity Coordinator at 303-556-3022 or please send an email to jvanhoo1@msudenver.edu.

Sincerely,

Janine Davidson, Ph.D.
President
