Deadline to apply for DACA renewal is Oct. 4

MSU Denver President Janine DavidsonMSU Denver is committed to our DACA students. As part of this effort, the MSU Denver Foundation is raising money to help cover the costs of the DACA renewal fees for eligible students.

If you know a student who would benefit from financial assistance and meets the eligibility criteria, please have them contact Gregor Mieder, immigrant services coordinator, at gmieder@msudenver.edu or 303-352-7117 by Oct. 4.

Eligible students will receive $517.25 to cover the cost of DACA renewal and associated mailing expenses.

As a reminder, no DACA applications will be processed after Oct. 5.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Students must be enrolled in classes at MSU Denver for fall 2017 semester
  • Current DACA status with expiration between Sept. 5, 2017 and March 5, 2018
  • Completed DACA renewal application, including relevant documentation
  • Attest to financial need and that allocated funds will be used for DACA renewal (signature of affirmation statement)
