Run a road with President Davidson this weekend

Roadrunners 5k race is among many Fall Alumni Weekend events.

Calling all Roadrunners! It is time to stretch your legs, lace up your sneakers and join the race.

Share your Roadrunner pride with Metropolitan State University of Denver alumni and the men’s and women’s cross-country team at Washington Park over Fall Alumni Weekend for the inaugural Roadrunners 5k on Oct. 7. Race time is 10:30 a.m. The race-registration fee for students is only $10.

MSU Denver President Janine Davidson will run along with participants, too.

Come early to cheer on the men’s and women’s cross-country teams as they compete in the Eighth Annual Roadrunners Invitational, their only home meet of the season. The collegiate women’s 6k will start at 9 a.m., followed by the collegiate men’s 8k at 9:35 a.m.

Get ready to live up to the Roadrunner moniker and register soon – the first 100 Roadrunners 5k registrants will receive a Roadrunners Athletics T-shirt. Race day will also include a half-mile fun run for kids under 12. All proceeds benefit the cross-country program.
