Coming up quickly: administrator performance evaluations due May 15

Performance year is May 1, 2016 – April 30, 2017; also, performance plans for next year (May 1, 2017 – April 30, 2018) are due May 15.

Human Resources will begin administering the annual evaluation process for administrators in April and May. It will kick off the process with performance management training, which will focus on managing employees throughout the year. Part of this training will include techniques and strategies to encourage conversation about performance yearlong. As a bonus, the training will include role plays that will help participants practice the tips that the training session provides.

What you need to know:

  • Evaluations for the current performance year are for May 1, 2016–April 30, 2017
  • The deadline this year will be May 15
  • Plans for the new performance year (May 1, 2017–April 30, 2018) also will be due on May 15

HR Training

Managing Performance: The Performance Cycle of an Employee, is training for all supervisors of administrator and classified staff, but all employees are welcome to attend. The training is two hours, 30 minutes to three hours and includes:

  • Performance planning
  • Ongoing communication
  • Recognition
  • Developmental communication
  • Annual review
  • 360 evaluations
  • Evaluating on the new classified form

HR will be conducting this training at the following dates and times:
