Cathy Lucas is ‘Public Relations Person of the Year’

Public Relations Society of America honors MSU Denver’s chief of staff and head of Marketing and Communications.

The Public Relations Society of America, Colorado Chapter, has announced that it has named Cathy Lucas as “Public Relations Person of the Year” – a prestigious honor that recognizes the best in Colorado public relations.

Lucas is Dr. Jordan’s chief of staff and heads the University’s Marketing and Communications Department.

This honor is one of the society’s 2017 Gold Pick Special Awards, given to outstanding professionals in the field of public relations. PRSA Colorado annually honors the achievements of individuals and organizations through recognition of best practices and high ethical standards among leaders and peers in the industry. Award winners are nominated by industry peers.

Lucas and other Special Award winners will be recognized at the Gold Pick Awards ceremony scheduled for Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Denver’s Kevin Taylor’s at the Opera House restaurant.
