MSU Denver to Host NCAA DII Softball World Series and Volleyball National Championship

Roadrunners also selected as the host of Men’s and Women’s NCAA Division II Cross Country Regional.

Metropolitan State University of Denver was selected as the host site for the 2019, 2021, and 2022 NCAA Division II Softball College World Series as well as the 2019 NCAA Women’s Volleyball National Championship today. MSU Denver will also host the 2018 and 2020 NCAA Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Regional.

"The NCAA’s selection of MSU Denver as the host institution for the softball and volleyball national championships is a great honor,” said University President Dr. Stephen M. Jordan. “The Regency Athletic Complex was built with the intention of attracting these types of events to Denver and connecting with the community. This is just another example of how MSU Denver is showcasing Denver to the nation.”

The NCAA DII Softball Championships will be crowned at The Regency Athletic Complex at MSU Denver while the NCAA DII Volleyball Championship will be held at the Auraria Event Center on the Auraria Campus. The NCAA DII Cross Country Regionals will be run at Washington Park.

"We are very excited to serve as the host for these national and regional championships," said Director of Athletics Dr. Anthony Grant. "This is a great opportunity to highlight the city of Denver, MSU Denver and Roadrunners Athletics."

MSU Denver hosted the 2016 NCAA Championships Festival in conjunction with the Denver Sports Commission, which featured softball, men’s golf, women’s golf, men’s tennis, women’s tennis and women’s lacrosse.
