The 6th Annual Undergraduate Research Conference – a Symposium of Scholarly Works and Creative Projects – takes place on Friday, April 21, 2017, from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. in the North Classroom Atrium.

Symposium topics range from “achieving terminal velocity” and the “behavior of the Aedes aegypti mosquito” to “the mosaic of the great basilica in Heraclea Lynkestis,” with many more research subjects available to explore. You’ll even be able to see a working prototype developed by several enterprising mechanical engineering students of a charging device that will let you ride your bike and charge your phone

“The work showcased at this year’s Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Undergraduate Research Conference . . . truly highlights the diversity offered at MSU Denver and the transforming experience of undergraduate research,” President Jordan said. He added that when students engage in undergraduate research, they develop essential skills relevant toward pursuing a particular profession or graduate school program. He also pointed out that many MSU Denver graduates remain in Colorado, and they bolster the livelihood of our amazing state.
