While it may be hard to believe, students are sometimes on the fence about choices. And for those trying to decide which university to attend, the stakes couldn’t be higher.
That’s where Preview Days comes in. Coordinated by the Office of Admissions, this program spotlights a different college or school at MSU Denver for prospective students to learn what it’s like to be a Roadrunner.
Those who are seriously considering MSU Denver can get a much more targeted view of University life, according to Erene Hilentzaris, assistant director of admissions for recruitment communications.
The setting is more intimate than the potentially overwhelming hubbub of an Open House. Preview Day attendees take part in sample lectures in specific fields, tour the campus and explore in-depth program resources.
“So far, we’ve found that information sessions and mock lectures have been the most beneficial in helping [students and families] make their decision,” said Hilentzaris.
The demand for the initiative has been apparent, with 48 attending the College of Business day and a sold-out showing of 73 at the recent College of Professional Studies event.
Upcoming Preview Days for the School of Education and College of Arts and Letters are on April 14 and April 21, respectively. Those interested can sign up on the Preview Days website.
