Thanks to the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, repeatedly entering the same scholarship application information is now a thing of the past for students.
Launching this past January, AcademicWorks is an online portal integrating the batch application process for MSU Denver Foundation scholarships into a single, seamless submission. This optimized allocation is anticipated to save staff time and students money.
The software was funded by the $10 service fee applied to short-term loans, according to Lori Kester, associate vice president of Enrollment Management. She said the interface is part of a broader approach to provide better customer service to students.
“Students can upload images and personal essays as part of the process, so it allows donors to have a real-time experience with the individuals they’re helping,” said Kester. “It helps build that direct relationship with the campus.”
The upcoming 2017-18 application priority deadline is March 1. For more information or if you would like to volunteer with the department, please contact Associate Director of Scholarships Thomas Hernandez.
