Madison Holloway passed away on Nov. 4, leaving MSU Denver community members who knew him with heavy hearts.
The professor and assistant chair in the Management Department was known on campus for his generous spirit. He was strongly committed to students and was a regular at commencements, sporting events and other activities on campus. He also relished the chance to serve as an advisor.
“Madison has truly been a big presence (not just physically) in our department and I know he will really be missed,” said Debbie Gilliard, chair of the Management Department. “He has been my right-hand man since becoming chair and I have appreciated his calm demeanor and logic. He truly has a gift of understanding people and always seeing the best in everyone … It has been an honor working with Madison all of these years.”
Holloway earned a Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Colorado and was a pioneer in researching and teaching workforce diversity. He also served on numerous committees at MSU Denver focused on developing a more inclusive campus for students.
